Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy
One of the greatest Star Wars games out there, Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy hits all of the highs of the movie franchises and avoids most of the pitfalls movie-to-game franchises fall in to. The voice acting, and audio in general, is incredible and hard to believe that it’s fourteen years old. The way characters interact with you is nearly flawless and would not be out of place in any game coming out today. Moreover, the mechanics in the game are phenomenally well made. It’s quite a broad topic – ‘mechanics’ – and it covers quite a lot, especially in a game that mixes up intense combat with fun platforming, but at no point was I getting too frustrated with the way anything worked, it provided a decent challenge, but was one that I could definitely overcome.
Also, it’s a Star Wars game, who doesn’t want to be a Jedi?
