A Room Beyond
I featured A Room Beyond recently. It’s a fun point and click adventure set across five chapters, with each chapter coming to a thrilling cliffhanger ending that really makes you want to keep playing. The game centres around a mysterious “Fog Walker”, who is murdering people from around the village if they linger out in the open for too long. At the start of the game, you’re dumped in a cave – presumably the Fog Walker’s next victim – and you have to use the objects around you to escape.
The puzzles in the game are pretty strong as well, with a good balance of tricky ones and more simplistic tasks, but you never feel like you need to go around rubbing items on everyone in sight. It has a decent curve to it, and once you’ve gotten started with it, it’s very difficult to put it back down.
