What is it?
Hector is a point and click adventure game, developed by Straandlooper and published by Telltale Games. It’s set in the fictional British hellhole of Clappers Wreake, the crime capital of Britain, and you’re in charge of D.I. Hector, in an attempt to solve one of the biggest crimes to ever hit the town.
Fairly well drawn.
Challenging, yet not ridiculously difficult puzzles.
Voice recording is poor.
Occasionally it will let you do things out of order, but not correct itself.
Not a fan of the voice actors.
The first episode of Hector is a great little game, but definitely is far too short. Clocking in at around 2 hours, with plenty of tea-breaks, the game doesn’t really provide a lengthy experience. The puzzles that are there are definitely tricky, and some are a little inscrutable, but overall they’re pretty well made. Sound quality is a little off, which is a bit unusual for a TTG-published game, but as subtitles are available, it’s not so important. Definitely worth picking up and playing this game.
