Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops – Mini Review!

What is it?

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops was Konami’s first attempt at putting a proper Metal Gear Solid game onto a handheld console. Although not considered canon, it features Snake and a number of the usual cast in the game set in the 1960s.

Platform(s)

PSP, PS Vita

Pros
Cons
Great gameplay.
Intriguing story.
Decent cut scene animations.
Assemble a top-tier team by kidnapping people.
Only playable on either PSP or PS Vita.

Verdict:

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is one of my favourite MGS games – it is pretty strong in all aspects, and because I own both a PSP and a PS Vita, I’m still able to play it. People who don’t have one of those consoles may struggle to play it, but it is well worth getting if you do have one of the handhelds.
