Portal 2 – Mini Review!

What is it?

Portal 2 is the sequel to Valve’s much-heralded Portal game, and the single player mode sees you play as a mute protagonist named Chell. It’s a unique puzzle-platformer type game where you have to navigate the test areas, offices and general building areas within Aperture Science’s headquarters. There is also a multiplayer option which sees you take control of one of two robots as they perform co-operative tasks to get through each one of the chambers.

Pros
Cons
Unique, challenging puzzles.
Brilliant voice acting.
Great writing.
Replayable.
Decent pacing.
Multiplayer offers even more fun.
If anything, the game is a little short.

Verdict:

I played Portal 2 on release and loved it, and I recently picked it back up to play with a friend and fell in love with it all over again. It’s a brilliant game with a lot of decent puzzles to make your way through. The multiplayer options really do add a significant difference to how you play the game, so it’s well worth playing, especially as it always seems to be on offer lately!
