What is it?
Sid Meier’s SimGolf is an old game that puts you in charge of a golf course, with the idea of trying to become the greatest golf course in the world. You do this by building plenty of new holes which each are distinct and difficult, with the best of them being ranked in the golfing magazines top 10 lists.
Pretty decent graphics.
Plenty of options to build courses.
Get to play your courses as well as build them.
Surprisingly engaging and addictive.
Game doesn’t really have much of an end game.
Character voices can get irritating.
Sid Meier is well known for crafting fun, addictive games, and SimGolf is no exception to that. It’s terrific fun, and the ability to play your golf course after you build it is something that can give you hours of fun. Definitely get this if you find it somewhere – it’s abandonware now so it should be readily available if you know where to look.
