Western Press – Mini Review!

What is it?

Western Press is a video game set in the wild west, with gameplay mechanics focussing on how to press buttons quickly. Given the option of a keyboard to type out a ten letter word, or a controller to bash out a ten-button sequence, the only thing you have to do is make sure you get it done quicker than your opponent.

Pros
Cons
Fast paced gameplay.
Teaches touch typing.
Gorgeous pixel art.
Great narrator.
Enjoyable soundtrack.
Plenty to unlock.
Can probably see all the game has to offer in an hour or two.

Verdict:

I like typing games – it’s always fun to try to test my touch typing speed, and this game is no different. There are two different modes, memory and speed, and both are quite fun. There is a ‘test’ mode where you can unlock a number of characters and a competition mode where you can pick the number of characters and try to win the lot. The price is a little steep, as you’ll be done with the game pretty quick, but if you can get it on sale, then I definitely recommend it.
