Everything In Nintendo Direct 2021 Summarized | News

We’ve waited since September 2019 for a new Nintendo Direct, and this one has delivered more than a few doozies. Here’s a summary of everything that’s been announced!

  • New Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles are coming in March 2021.
  • Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout to be ported to the Switch in Summer 2021.
  • Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind (sold separately) – two detective visual novels – have been localized for the West and is coming in May 14th.
  • Samurai Warriors 5 coming to Switch in Summer 2021. Set in the Sengoku Period of Japan, this spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors series contains revamped visuals and designs.
  • Legend of Mana Remaster announced for the Nintendo Switch. It features rearranged music, updated graphics, and features like turning off enemy encounters and new mini-game to enjoy. This is coming in June 24th.
  • Monster Hunter Rise gets a new trailer, as well as a new Switch console and controller with its design. All will be available on March 26th, 2021.
  • Mario Golf: Super Rush announced for Switch, coming June 25, 2021. The latest entry includes a story mode, motion controls, a Speed Golf multiplayer mode (everyone’s turn to hit the ball, can use power-ups and special abilities, etc.), and more.
  • Tales From the Borderlands will be raiding the Switch on March 24, 2021.
  • Capcom Arcade Stadium, featuring some of the company’s most beloved arcade titles, will be available later today. Features a rewind ability and local co-op play. 1943: The Battle for Midway is free to download, while the others can be purchased seperately.
  • A release of Stubbs the Zombie will be released for Switch (alongside the PS4, Xbox One, and PC) on March 16th.
  • No More Heroes III will be slicing its way to the Switch on August 27. Travis Touchdown will be fighting aliens with his beam katana in this installation.
  • Assassinte demons in heaven in for the upcoming first-person shooter… except you use skill cards… coming to Switch this Winter.
  • DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power was announced for Switch, and is coming on June 4, 2021.
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for the Neighborville Complete Edition, an 8v8 multiplayer title, is heading to Switch tomorrow.
  • Nintendo 3DS RPG Miitopia is coming Nintendo Switch this Sunday. In it, you can use your Mii avatars to band together with allies, defeat foes, and explore new worlds.
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be receiving Super Mario-themed items and costumes (warp pipes, mushrooms, coins, etc.) via a free update next Thursday.
  • Square Enix’s latest tactical RPG Project Triangle Strategy (working title) is coming to the Switch next year. Inspired by its predecessor, Octopath Traveller, a demo is available today.
  • New free-to-play title Star Wars Hunters is heading to Switch this year. It’s a squad-based, online multiplayer game.
  • Knockout City is, dodgeball multiplayer title, is bouncing to the Switch in May 21.
  • World’s End Club, featuring the Go-Getters Club, find themselves trapped in an amusement park. As they head back home to Tokyo, they realize everyone is gone, and have been replaced with monsters to fight. Is it coming on May 28th.
  • Hades is getting a physical release for Switch tomorrow. It includes a PC download code for the game’s original soundtrack and a 32-page character bookler.
  • Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection – featuring remasters of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninjda Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge – will be released for the Switch on June 10, 2021.
  • Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be receiving an Expansion Pass. It’ll include two “waves” of content.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma did say there will be more news revealed later in 2021.
  • Bravely Default 2 has a new trailer ahead. Its demo on the eShop has been updated, too. It will be released on February 26.
  • Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection will be heading to the Switch on February 25.
  • SaGa Frontier Remastered is heading to the Switch on April 15, 2021. New gamplay features, new scenarios and updated visuals are all guaranteed.
  • Battle royale shooter Apex Legends is arriving on Switch on March 9, 2021. For the first two weeks after launch, you’ll earn Double XP on Switch. There will also be bonus skins to download.
  • Nothing to share regarding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, but NIntendo has promised development is going smoothly, and news is planned for this year.
  • The 2011 Wii title The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be ported to the Switch on July 16, 2021 in HD, as well as motion controls and a new button-only controller scheme. Skyward Sword-themed Joy-Con controller will be released alongside.
  • Splatoon 3 will be super-jumping its way to the Switch in 2022. The reveal trailer shows an Inkling and her new fish buddy exploring desert to a new city called Splatlands, nicknamed the “City of Chaos.”. It also revealed a bow weapon, additional customization options, and some Turf War gameplay. The trailer also reatured a new rendition of the series’ signature tune ‘Splattack!’
