Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the upcoming turn-based RPG, stirred up a bit of trouble when it was released in Japan. SEGA sold a Premium Masters Pack DLC for 980 Yen (roughly £8, or $10) which included Premium New Game mode, a ultra-difficult dungeon called the Super Final Millennium Tower, new trophies to unlock on the PlayStation Network, a rare item shop, and the ability to both upgrade your weapons and job rank to the max.
In previous games, you could unlock NG+ mode by beating the game, but the fact that it was locked behind a paywall was enough to upset fans. However, it looks like the DLC will be packaged alongside the base game at launch for no additional cost for us Western players.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be released on consoles and PC for the rest of the world on November 10th in all of its thug-beating, karaoke-singing glory.
